Through all of our experience as wood floor sanding experts, we have perfected our provision of floor sanding and restoration. This takes into account our techniques, sanding machinery and the products we use. However large or small, the process of sanding wood floors is the same. And it is important to bring that passion to each project that we complete.
The following images show a floor sanding job that we completed recently in Lytham St. Annes. They show how the floor started off. It looked dark and had many layers of old coatings. If re-applied over and over, wood finishes just build up and look unsightly. The natural finish of the wooden boards is lost, and they look covered up instead of showing off the natural grain of the wood beneath.
During the floor sanding process these old coatings are fully sanded and removed. The second image shows the natural appearance of the wood floor. This strips the floor back to a point where it can be refinished.
Refinishing wood floors allows the opportunity to alter the appearance of your wooden floor. Different wood finishes offer lighter and darker alternatives. This client selected a slightly darker finish but still wanted the natural grain of the wood to be visible. The floor is almost unrecognisable from where it started.
