Floor sanding preparation is something we get asked about a lot. While we have gone into how we prepare to start a floor sanding project, it is also important for our clients to feel they can also prepare.
Offering information and reassurance throughout the process is key to offering a great service. This is what we do, day in and day out. However, we also appreciate that it may be the first time dealing with us or restoring your wood floors. Therefore, it is important that you feel involved and informed about the process.
Floor Sanding Preparation – What you can Do
Once we have completed the quotation and survey process, we will offer you information about a start date. We will keep in touch during the time leading up to this date so you know exactly when work will commence. We offer a trustworthy and holistic approach and will always complete tasks in the timescales agreed.
Our advice for clients is to clear the room as much as possible prior to work starting. What does this mean?
- All small items and valuables should be removed and stored
- Rugs will need to come up
- Larger items and furniture should also be removed from the space (don’t worry we can help with this, if needed)
- You can also remove curtains, blinds and wall hangings (this is not essential, but some clients like to do this)
- If you know of any particular issues such as loose boards or damaged areas, it is a good idea to highlight these. These will always be identified during the preparation phase, however, will likely put your mind at ease
From this point we will take over. If you have any problems or issues that arise when preparing for our arrival, we will always offer help and guidance. Get in touch to request a wood floor restoration quote today on 0800 852 7177.
